Introduction to the Goddess

There are structures of power that in and of themselves are oozing with life and have no need to scare us into abstaining from connection. Connection to our neighbours, our creativity, and that which is greater than ourselves. This is what I call the Goddess.”

The discovery of the goddess is the uncovering of our innate value. As a little one, my fears steered the ship and my life reflected it - still does sometimes.

Though there was still a powerful curiosity & trust which sought for where to put down its roots. A call for sincere nourishment, that only divine connection could satiate. I discovered the Goddess through my evolving perception of the Whole, and by acknowledging all parts of myself  as valuable and whole; unbroken. I was faced with the Goddess, in the flesh, in the mirror, everywhere existence is found. My faith has found its outlets and I am grateful everyday.

We can acknowledge the opportunity time and time again to evolve our definition of beauty. Beauty is born from the grace-full power that moves us within and without. This is a key of the Goddess’ wisdom: Beauty is change; movement.

We may call this Venus; a personification of the Goddess, of Beauty undeniable, and the brightest star in the night sky (also called the morning or evening star as it is the most visible then). This transitional aspect is of great importance in the mosaic of our comprehension. Venus is the Goddess, the Goddess is Venus, and they are rebirth threading up and down, in every direction, interweaving it all.

This Beauty that knows no static label is of the utmost importance to honour. The Divine Feminine is integral to the Goddess’ revolutionary nature, yet femininity is deeply personal and does not equate to personality traits or physical sameness. Femininity is what you make of it. All of us can learn from femmes, women, and the potency of this magic within the very essence of all who embody femininity and resonate with womanhood. The Divine Feminine energy flows through each of us in varying currents.

The Divine Feminine, at her core, is that which

threatens, questions and disrupts, our habitual acceptance

The want to run towards this part of us now

Meet this mystery

We are

The journey of remembering ourselves

as the mystery

As always, a treasured portion of existence, the moment

of surrender, the push and pull to get there

Disruptive, free forming

The bouncing of flesh

The warmth of breath

The flowing of fluid

The pumping, the putrid, disgust

that we be with

Destruct and then be with

Build up, be, lie, live and then be with

Destroy, uncouple, create noise

Harmony in the crumbling

Burned to the ground

I am unknown and remain so, because

my secrets are curling inside

Your very skin, if you care to look in

I am already

Here

There is a depth awaiting your embrace in that place the dominant culture dare not go. There are structures of power that in and of themselves are oozing with life and have no need to scare us into abstaining from connection. Connection to our neighbours, our creativity, and that which is greater than ourselves. This is what I call the Goddess (you may have different words for it and that is beautiful) within and connecting all. A primordial force vaster than words may describe.

So we may observe patterns, in the natural world. The cosmos, plant life, animals and our human selves, all hold the everything we can’t quite define, but perpetually experience. There is a beautiful invitation from the Goddess, and this rich mythology, to feel into that connection. An invitation to understand that we are all bearers of consciousness.

The Goddess has been revered since humans could dream. Perceiving within & beyond that which the mundane offered, we summoned our unbridled imagination and tapped into this timeless force.

We connected the dots and perceived our bodies, all bodies, as more than an instrument of survival . They were all inlaid with gold of sorts - or the golden ratio as it is referred to - a concept that came to be in ancient India that speaks wonders to the interwoven magic through the harmony of all life.

The incredible part is that deep connection, wildly brave imagination, and consciousness animated by belief, was expressed through story. Homosapiens were able to persevere through the trials and tribulations of evolution because of story. Stories tap into that gold, that magic, which in and of itself expands life like the pattern of the golden ratio provides life its best chance to thrive.

This is specifically notable in the stories about that force I call the Goddess. These tales are spirallic by nature therefore their power connects us; allows us to see our truth & gives us faith. All captured in that way only creative expressions really can.

What we are really doing here is establishing a dialogue with the faces of Goddess. The potent stories of these well known characters called Artemis, Inanna, and Ishtar who possess specific gifts and evolve through space & time as we perceive it. As expressions of the Goddess, Beautiful and resilient at their core & what they represent, they carry on from one era and place on earth to another; continually present.

Organized in true Venusian fashion our five spiralled orbit (another expression of the golden ratio connection) serves as the mode of transference for Venus’ wisdom. We are witnessing, as all of the pieces come together, the overarching expression of the Goddess and how our faces are indeed a brilliant aspect of this expression. Join me in offering our hearts & the sanctity of our awareness, to this exploration of coming to know our faces of the Goddess through the mythological stories of these Goddesses through time.
