The 7 Planes of Divine Manifestation

Fundamental numerology and inter-connection found throughout space and time.

When we think of fundamental numbers we may think of 10 for measure, 60 for time, or 4 in the seasons. But the number 7 is repeatedly found at the base of scientific, philosophical, and religious origin ‘stories’.

LIGHT + THE CHAKRAS

It began while looking into the electromagnetic spectrum. The 7 frequencies visible to the human eye are, of course, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet. I soon after realized the powerful connection between these frequencies and the chakra system.

The chakras and their colors aligned perfectly. Even the lower and higher frequencies matched up. Red being “lower”, or more primal/animalistic, and Violet being “higher”, or self realization/unity with the divine.

HERMETIC PHILOSOPHY

It quickly connected back to the Kybalion, a ‘channeled’ work on the fundamentals of reality from the ancient hermetic beliefs (highly recommend). The writer explains that all is mental and outlines the various planes of consciousness. They are all 7. Each of the 7 levels, has 7 sub levels and so on infinitly.

These are the Seven Minor Mental Planes:

1. The Plane of Mineral Mind

2. The Plane of Elemental Mind A

3. The Plane of Plant Mind

4. The Plane of Elemental Mind B

5. The Plane of Animal Mind

6. The Plane of Elemental Mind C

7. The Plane of Human Mind

These are a subdivision of The Great Mental Plane which is one of three of the The Great Planes; The Great Physical Plane, The Great Mental Plane, and The Great Spiritual Plane.

So here, I see that from the Source (1), three are manifested which form all being. Once we go within these 3, we find infinitely encasing planes of 7. Even within each of those 7 listed above, there are 7 more sub-planes and on and on. There is also a list like the one above for the Great Physical plane and the Great Spiritual plane.

THE 7 DENSITIES

There is also a model which describes 7 densities of consciousness. They are not the same as dimensions, though the levels do correspond with dimensions.

So, these 7 densities of consciousness align with these other aspects as well. The lower frequencial planes seem to be the most physical and least conscious and as you travel upwards, the transfer of energy moves towards pure consciousness. More love, more light, more consciousness and ability; higher frequency.

‘AFTERLIFE’

Just by reading Er’s account of the afterlife at the ending of Plato’s Republic as well as The Tibetan Book of The Dead, the number 7 is evidently significant.

In Er’s account, there are 7 days of waiting to begin the karmic journey and then 7 concentric circles in the ‘whirl’ traveled through before rebirth.

In The Tibetan Book of The Dead, there are 7 days of peaceful deities and 7 days of wrathful deities during the karmic chonyid bardo.

OK, WHAT NOW?

The world we live within is constructed by infinite encasings of infinities. Endless mystery. There is so much beyond what we deal with amongst ourselves each day.
